Nimbus is an imposing sculptural installation developed for the online gallery project probe by Amsterdam-based artist, Berndnaut Smilde. The artist uses smoke, moisture and backlighting to create an illusion of a cloud, which evokes a feeling of magic and humor. It seems that “Nimbus” has fallen from space and had remained levitating in the room for an instant and might vanish altogether.
